Wat Phrathat Doi Suthep is a Buddhist temple in Chiang Mai province.
The temple is also called Doi Suthep, however this is the name of the 1676 m heigh mountain on which it is built.
Doi Suthep belongs to the row of highest mountains of Thailand. The highest mountain is Doi Inthanon with 2565 m. In fact all these mountains are foothills of the Himalaya.
